Russell and Taylor :: Preview

I spent yesterday carrying cameras and taking photos at the Tate House. Taylor and Russell's wedding was absolutely beautiful, and we could not have asked for a better day! Here's a little preview for you!

Rebekah and Hudson :: Lifestyle

It's so fun when my friends start having babies, but it isn't fun living hours away and not being able to work out a time to see those babies! Such was the case with my good friend Rebekah and her little Hudson.

Last week I was in Florida with my family on vacation when I saw a Facebook post that she was in Georgia. I was so sad to be out of town while she was there and I texted her. She was actually making her way down to Florida! We found a time and place to hang out, and I had to bring my camera along.

Rebekah is such a great mother already! Look at these sweet faces!

Friday Favorites :: Airbnb

A few weeks ago, I took a trip out west with my mom and sister. Our first stop was in Colorado to photograph a wedding, then we went out to San Diego for a few days after that! The last time I was in San Diego I booked a hotel at a "reasonable price" and it turned out to be quite sketchy (as I mentioned here). So when it came time to find a place to stay for this trip I decided to try something new. I have seen several friends rave about Airbnb. I was a little unsure about it because I didn't want to be staying in some random person's living room. I looked into it a bit more and found that you don't have to do that ;). Basically it's a website where you can rent a room or a house from someone. They have reviews of the owners,  plenty of pictures, and it's easy to converse with the owners.

As I was searching the area I came across a parked RV. It was incredibly inexpensive and I thought it sounded like a fun place to stay. My mom and sister surprised me when they thought it sounded fun also! Then I came across a sailboat! The sailboat cost about the same as a hotel room would and there were kayaks and bikes available with it! I thought it sounded like the coolest thing ever, and again my mom and sister agreed. So we decided to save some money by renting the RV for a few nights and then the sailboat for one night.  It was such a fun experience, the people we rented from were great, and it felt like much more of an adventure than just staying in a hotel.

I'm kicking myself because I didn't get any pictures of the RV, but I did take some while we were on the sailboat. Our favorite thing was to sit outside on the sailboat and eat, watch movies, and just hang out.

So if you're taking a trip somewhere and looking for somewhere unique and affordable to stay, you should definitely check out Airbnb!

The Hornigold Family :: Preview

I love taking pictures for this sweet family! Even though we had a shoot in December, the kids had grown so much since then. Just look at this adorable baby!
