Michelle :: Portraits

We met each other and went straight to the pizza restaurant to get lunch. Food is always the best way to start out, right? We quickly became friends and couldn't believe how much we had in common.

Michelle is a super out-going, sweet, beautiful girl. She worked at disney for a semester, grew up loving the outdoors...especially climbing trees. This was the last day of the Storytime workshop, and it couldn't have ended better!

Kealan and Alison

Day two of the storytime workshop: a couples shoot in DC. We were put in pairs and got to photograph "date night in the city".
We got our metro tickets and headed toward the stairs to get on. Over to the side I glanced over at a cute couple who were looking at us. They were dressed classy, looked very happy to be together, and were just really good looking! I started to walk past and I hear Kristen greet them and start introducing us. “Oh!  This must be one of the couples we’re going to take pictures of. No wonder they were looking at us.” I know, I know...sometimes it takes me a few minutes to catch on to the obvious.  A few minutes later, Kristen told Megan and I that they were "our couple". So, we sat in the metro and chatted the whole way to DC.
They're newly married and completely in love. They got married last fall and will eventually be moving to PA. Kealan is going to medical school and is interested in doing medical missions in the future. Allison is incredibly sweet and has a bubbly personality. She is also a photographer and takes super fun and fresh photos! There was never an “awkward silence” with these guys. They’re some of those people you just want to hang out and be friends with!

The Kless Family :: Life Style

While at the Storytime workshop, we had several shoots to help us put what we learned into practice. The first shoot was family shoot.

Friday night Family night. This was the theme for the Kless’ shoot. My job for the night was to follow them around with my camera and snap pictures. That was it. I couldn’t tell them how to stand, to turn towards the light, to walk closer together…nothing. There were a couple of times I had to bite my tongue, but for the most part, it was so so fun!  Photographing people who are in their element automatically makes for amazing photos. And how fun is it to have your every day life documented? Now THOSE are some pictures and memories to look back on!

Their son is named Behr. And he's one of the cutest guys you'll ever meet. How could he not be adorable with a name like that? Dre and Becca are easy-going, friendly people who made being in their home so comfortable. Their Friday night : Spaghetti,  ice cream cones, an evening walk, bath time, and book reading.
